This committee
operates under the Declaration of
Restrictions, designed to preserve the
aesthetic quality of many of the neighborhoods
in Miami Lakes. Items covered under the
Restrictions include care and appearance,
remodeling, landscaping, various forms of
vehicles and boats, as well as many others.
Homeowners are responsible for knowing and
adhering to the restrictions. For assistance,

Please note: ACC relocated to larger office

This committee is in charge of
all the issues related to membership. The annual membership
fee for the Miami Lakes Civic Association is only
$35 and members get continued discounts at a
majority of town restaurants, as well as lots of shops in
the shopping centers and Main Street. For more information

MLCA has long
been known for providing excellent community programs and
services to Miami Lakes. Our Outreach Committee makes this
all happen. They provide concerts, classes, voter
registration, public safety programs, and blood drives, as
well as various picnics, charity events and community
functions. If you would like to offer any program or class

With the help of the Town of
Miami Lakes Police Unit, this group holds a monthly meeting
to inform residents of crime and public safety issues. All
residents are welcome to attend. For information on meeting

Miami Lakes is well known for
its Veterans Day Parades. This committee is very dedicated
and coordinates every detail of the event. So far the
committee has been successful making each year's parade
bigger and better than the last. Beginning in 2003, the
town's Cultural Affairs Committee is co-sponsoring the
event.
This committee meets quarterly
and is open to all Miami Lakes homeowners associations'
presidents and officers. The goal is to provide a
forum to exchange ideas, as well as finding solutions to
neighborhood problems. For information on meeting dates,

Planning Town Happy Hours, dinners, domino tournaments and
other social occasions are the responsibility of this
festive group. All social events are held within the Town
of Miami Lakes.
Because it's important to keep Miami Lakes residents
informed, this committee is responsible for newsletters,
flyers, general publicity and the re-designing of this
website.
This committee focuses on the many parks in Miami Lakes, as
well as explores the possibility of new parks. Additionally,
this group also looks into comprehensive beautification
projects.
Miami Lakes Historic Preservation Board
was formed in early 2004 with the goal of identifying
and preserving pieces of the Town's history, as well as
developing and maintaining historic archives for the
town. This will include Madden's Hammock and its
artifacts, local historic trees and buildings, as well
as photographs and ancient Indian artifacts. The MLCA
Board will be appointing seven to nine members to serve
on the Preservation Board and attend quarterly
meetings. Residents interested in serving on the
committee and have an architecture, history, art,
horticulture or related background are encouraged to
